Well known director Alok Nembang has committed suicide at around 8 PM today in his house. The Maharajgunj police has confirmed that he was found hanging in his house.

The reason behind the suicide is unknown and the police is investigating the incident.
A well known music video director Alok Nembang debuted in Nepali film as a director in ‘Sano Sansar’ (watch ‘Sano Sansar’) and also directed ‘Kohi Mero’ (watch ‘Kohi Mero’). Hit movie ‘Sano Sansar’ had established him as a very good director. Alok had also acted in ‘Numafung’ (watch Numafung here).
He had re-introduced ex-Miss Nepal Jharana Bajracharya after her long absence from the film industry in ‘Kohi Mero’. The movie wasn’t as successful as expected. Alok was absent from the film industry for about 5 years before announcing ‘Ajhai Pani’ – a Sudarshan Thapa production and featuring actress Pooja Sharma. The movie is scheduled to release on Falgun 15.
Untimely demise of the talented and young director is a great loss to the Nepali film industry. We at xnepali wish the deceased soul rest in peace.
